blog #1

In this lesson we did a vocal and physical warm up, too warm our muscles in our face to do this we pulled funny faces and opened our face as wide as we could the tightened them as much as we could and to warm up our bodies we did imitations of what ever the teacher told us such as an old man, lady or prisoner, just to see how we held our posture as that kind of person and see how we could compare it to our own posture, to do a vocal warm up we did tongue twisters, lips and tongue exercises mix with some humming to relax the vocal cords and prep them for the lesson.

once we had finished warming up we got given our lesson brief which was prep our self's for our monologue.

In order to focus on our monologue our teacher got us to relax our bodies and minds to avoid any stress, and relaxing would help stay focused on the monologue, we had to try and link our own experiences to the character in the monologue we chose in order to give it more depth, to do that we also had to analyse the script and pick out some key details, such as the characters actions, emotions, personality and accent, and from analyzing the script i found out that hedwig was a young teenager, her father had left her when he found out she wasnt his daughter, and the love for hedwig turns to hate and for the wild duck..
